Our internship programme - step by step

Here’s what we do:

We will meet with you and offer optional workshops to determine your business needs. We have a specialist understanding of the hiring needs of engineering and business services - we know these industries intimately.

We help you create a role description for a 3 to 6 month internship. By creating a meaningful internship role you can bring skilled people into your business without the need for further training.

We carefully select graduate and experienced specialists, such as civil, electrical, mechanical engineers, project managers, design and site engineers, architects and data analysts. We ensure the candidate has appropriate transferable skills and industry knowledge of codes and standards, and that their background, qualifications and previous experience explicitly match your needs.

We provide professional development for your managers. We upskill them on interview techniques in order to hire intelligently and inclusively, without bias.

We co-arrange an interview for you and the candidate.

We set up mutual objectives and a work plan for the candidates and their manager.

We give continuous support throughout the internship.

Our continuous support includes:

  • running monthly review meetings to measure progress
  • facilitating feedback from you to interns
  • helping the interns create their own reflective learning journal
  • creating a handbook for your staff and interns
  • facilitating engagement with professional bodies
  • scheduling regular meetings between your staff and interns

You pay a one-off £600 agency fee to us. There are no hidden extra costs.

And during the internship, you pay the intern the London Living Wage.

It’s a low risk way to quickly trial and hire experienced engineers. And it provides a high return on investment compared to the cost of mainstream experienced hire of similarly skilled candidates.

There’s no obligation to hire at the end of the internship - but most employers do. 70% of our an internships result in permanent employment.

When our candidates complete their internship, they have a good understanding of your business and they have the skills and experience to keep adding real value. It’s efficient and it works.

If an intern is taken on permanently, our fees are transparent with no hidden extra costs. We simply charge 15% of the candidates gross salary.
