This is a very advanced employability course which focuses on the Soft Skills needed for employment and professional jobs. It is run by an experienced professional trainer and we only run it once or twice a year. It is beneficial for professionals to test their skills and abilities to perform well in their applications, job interviews as well as in work, to maximize their success.

 

Eligibility:

–         Refugee Status, HP as a result of asylum, Refugee Family Reunion visa

–         Upper Intermediate English level

–         Good understanding of UK labour market and application process

Managing Change & Your Career in the UK

This workshop covers themes like the nature and impact of change and strategies for managing change including changing mind sets that often determine how we see our potential in both a positive and negative way.

Communication and Team Work in workplace

In this workshop we will explore the Deloitte definition of employability skills and carry out some team related tasks to help you audit your practice.

7th  March 2019 11am-2pm
Better PowerPoint presentations designed to impress an employer and, in work

Whether we are in work or searching for it, good presentation skills are crucial. In this workshop we will look at what employers are looking for in prospective employees and how best to show case this in a power point presentation.

14th March 2019 11am-2pm
Writing Supporting Statements and getting shortlisted

Matching your past experience to a person specification and writing a supporting statement / letter of application is quite an art. In this workshop we will develop your ability to do this and increase your chances of getting shortlisted.

21st March 2019 11am-2pm
Managing recruitment process

In this workshop we will look at how questions used in interviews, what make your answers stand out and how employment panels make decisions

28th March 2019 11am-3pm
